Featured on A Delightsome Life

I don't know if it is the changing of the Seasons,
the moving into a new month, but I am feeling
quite nostalgic lately.
I think people and events come to your life
and how you interact can make all the difference.

Silver and Roses

I am sure many of you are already familiar with Johanna's blog.
But, if you've not had opportunity to read her latest tea post,
I invite you to see her lovely setting and to share these most
wonderful thoughts - simple yet deeply provocative.
She's such a sweetheart to share these words and passages-
translated - from a favorite book - you'll probably want to 
discover for yourself.

ANTIQUECHASE

I still breathe a sigh when I look at Marcy's find of a beautiful translucent, blue
float - thinking as I looked at the image - this would look marvelous suspended.
Well, you'll just have to visit to see how she did just that. Then I stopped by
this morning - she has reached a milestone in her blog and is celebrating with
an amazing Giveaway - I'd love, love, love to win - if I don't sure hope you do!

Maison Decor

Last Friday, I was struck by the beautiful results Amy had
using lace tablecloths as curtains. Then coming back by 
today, I find she's been quite busy - just look at what she
'just whipped up'! Exquisite - Then I see she has shared
the very giving spirit of those who blog.

A Country Farmhouse

Quite a number of the blogs I feature are fairly new and beautiful
in their own way. I found this blog - which seems to be fairly
well known - a PURE DELIGHT. From the most recent post on
Daffodils, scrolling through images of her home and her amazing, 
darling twins. I was purely delighted - I know you will be too!

My Life At Pansy Cottage

I have to give my home a name. Where I live there are several
historic homes bearing the names of original and former owners.
I love the name Pansy Cottage - love pansies! They're garden's 
happy faces. I have thought of calling my home "La Marne Cottage"
because of the very large, old La Marne Rose at the front porch.
Well, this is about Sharon! She has quite a Delightsome blog, and if I 
lived in California I'd be a happy camper right now! She's hosting a 
Launch Your Creativity event - I know there are many of you who'd 
like to learn how to turn your dreams of starting a business a reality -
this sounds like a marvelous opportunity!
I will continue to visit Sharon's blog to see what she has learned and
to view the most Delightsome posts!

One Heart At Home

This is a very Delightsome blog by a lovely lady who shares her
heart - her faith in God, her home and family. She also writes
Red Scarf Diaries - well worth the read - continue to scroll through
her blog - she's recently celebrated a blogaversary! You'll find 
a kind, loving, talented blogger!  Oh, and LOVE the makeover
to an entertainment hutch!

Meeting New Friends
I have been encouraged by the generous spirit 
in those who share their lives through blogging.
I understand this is a very reciprocal relationship
in a way - we all help each other.
I have learned so much and have been so 
inspired.

This is going to be a two-for-one! A' La Parisienne
is having a Delightsome Giveaway, the book, 'Romantic Style'.
In Mandy's blog you'll find much to be delighted in. Her blog
is exquisite in its presentation and expressions in French. She's
a young mother with a darling daughter - makes me wish
for those days when mine were that young. In May my youngest
will turn 18! Where does the time go -

book, 'Romantic Style'. I have the privilege of owning this
book - a gift from my eldest daughter this past Christmas.

I was honored when Joyce emailed me telling me
that a dear friend of hers shared a link to my blog.
Joyce paid me a visit and became a friend. 
I returned the visit and was equally Delighted!
Joyce shared how her world is expanding through
blogging and through a Tea Swap. I haven't
joined in, but I think it would be so much fun!
Sometimes this is how I find Delightsome blogs
like Joyce's - sometimes it's through rabbit
trailing on the Internet...
however, you'll truly enjoy Joyce and I 
dare say - become a friend.

Recreating the beauty in God's creation
is a talent Erin definitely displays.
She has a wonderful way of arranging
flowers and beautiful objects in her work.
Oh, and not trying to covet here - but,
I want a hat just like that big hat
laying across the bed in one of her photos!

I have had such a Delightsome week! The sun has been out
and I have been puttering in the yard - trimming and weeding.
I have the scars on my arms and legs to prove it. Weeds
are definitely a curse - but, we have to persevere! 
I have enjoyed taking breaks and sharing here and there
with you - such an amazing group of ladies (some gentlemen)
I have smiled, laughed, teared up and have mused.
What a delight to have jumped into this Delightsome world.
You've so enriched my days.
Here are a few that I came across and hope you find

I was delighted when Sara paid a visit to my blog - so returning the call
I discovered a very creative and inspiring blog! Sara was able
to acquire a Delightsome chest through Craigslist and

Mudpies and Marigolds

I have only strolled through Aaron's blog a wee bit,
but I do love what she has done and has shared -
there's a bit of whimsy here - 
Love what she did with microscope slides, so very creative.
I take you from the beginning and let you find it! I showed
her creation to my daughter - we happen to have slides
here - she loved the idea!

Carolina Country Living

Many of us are dreaming of our Spring Gardens - the flowers - the warmth of the
sunshine - Erin is too - and she'll transport you visually through her garden
and gardens of her dream. I am a Carolina girl - not sure I've ever shared that
before - but I have family roots in both North and South - 
visiting Erin's blog is like coming home  - whether your a Carolinian - you'll
feel at home too.

I came across Cindy's blog - as with many through another who
shared of Cindy's generosity towards her. Once seeing her 
blog I know why - she follows what she believes - she 
has posted "Our work is produced by faith, our labor 
prompted by love, and our endurance inspired by hope
in our Lord Jesus Christ". It is so Delightsome to 
find sisters in faith - and to see them displaying their
poetry in their living for Jesus - you'll be delighted
by her blog and should pay her Etsy shop a visit too!

Delightsome Blogs


I cannot tell you how happy I am to have my computer back. The 
Faux Mercury post was the first one I did since getting it back.
The hard drive went bad - lost everything that I didn't have 
saved - a big lesson learned. Also, I am adjusting to 
some changes - newer format, but altogether I am very thankful.

These are a few of the blogs that I was able to view
this past week - I found them intriguing and beautiful.
I need to go back over my IBY posts to note those
I've already mentioned - I am considering a page addition
to my blog with a comprehensive list - it will be fun!

Simple Life

The first word that comes to mind when I viewed Sylvia's blog was
Exquisite.
A fairly new blog - but so intense with beautiful imagery and
text that reveals a Kindred Spirit who speaks to your heart
and you answer
but, of course.
You'll be thoroughly delighted to stroll through Sylvia's blog - 
I for one look forward in anticipation to her sharing her
world with us through words and through images.

High Street Cottage

This blog cheered me up this morning - I have a song
running through my mind - you'll know which one 
when you stop by.
Strolling through Tami's blog - I was delighted by
the things she shared - then I came to a point where
I said - whoa! I want to do that - I am working on
a bed tray redo - nothing like this one - 
but, I have another that needs some repair and
will look terrific like this one! 
Such inspiration!

Dear Friend

An enchanting blog by a young lady that made me 
smile and reminisce. She is sharing with us the joy
and anticipation she experiences in her life - 
she's just celebrated the 5th anniversary of her marriage.
My husband and I have been married  24 years - 
I could tell her it gets sweeter as time goes by -
I was listening to David Jeremiah as we exercised
this morning - he spoke on relationship out 
of Song of Solomon -
"Dreaming Of A Perfect Love"
I would tell Rebekka - keep it light, laugh often
hug every day and tell him you love him.

My Everyday Things

I love the opportunity to travel to lovely places 
while safely in my home - sipping a cup of coffee
or tea - wrapped in a cozy sweater or blanket -
You'll find visiting Elly - she is sharing a very
tiny bathroom and how she's created a very
serene, romantic setting. Love, love, love
the white and the ruffles!
Continue on and you'll find Elly has a lovely 
sense of decorating taste with a touch of whimsy.

Bless My Nest

I chose Claire today - well because she made me chuckle
and she reminded me of one of my sisters, who could
be a combination of Claire, Paula Deen and Dixie Carter.
Sit for a moment and just imagine -
O.K. then continue onto Claire's site - Love it! Then I
came to her Mod Podge creation. I am playing with
Mod Podge too (upcoming post)-  Claire's is fantastic! 
There are so many who've created beautiful things
with Mod Podge - can someone find a more
pretty name for something so great?!
