This adorable little guy looks very worried. Does he think he's barking up the wrong tree?

Visited My Farm Friends Today
I had a real estate showing this morning and on my way home I stopped to visit and photograph these animals.
A Gathering of Friends

This is the perfect weekend for hanging out with your friends. Are there any sea otters that aren't cute? via
The Groundhog Has Spoken

6 more weeks of winter
Groundhog hibernation gave rise to the popular American custom of Groundhog Day, held on the second of February every year. Tradition dictates that if a groundhog sees its shadow that day, there will be six more weeks of winter, though such a prediction seems a sure bet over much of the groundhog's North American range.

Following the Already Traveled Path

I think these sheep are very wise to travel in the path made by a big vehicle instead of wasting calories forging a new one. Maybe it will take them closer to the barn filled with hay. via
Two Smiling Sheep
I love to see smiling animals, don't you? These smiling sheep by Laura L. Ruth got my day off to a great start. It was good to see the sun this morning too after all that rain yesterday.

Baa, baa, black sheep,
Have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir,
Three bags full.
One for my master,
One for my dame,
And one for the little boy
That lives in our lane.

Pony and Cat -- Stable Friends Forever
You know how much I love interspecies friendships! The pony clearly loves this cat and vice versa. via

I hope you are having an equally lovely time today enjoying the scenery. via
Elephant Fix for The Day
Isn't this a fabulous photo of a mother and her sister taking the baby elephant for a walk? via Pixdaus--click link to enlarge.
Grazing Cattle in My Area
There were brown and white twin calves that were too far away for me to photograph so these will have to do. I have been looking for sheep but they have all but disappeared from the two properties near me that have them. I am missing them somehow. Guess they are in the barn when I am out and about.
I got my flu shot today offered to town residents. It didn't seem as crowded as in previous years. I think many people get them at the doctor's office and the various pharmacies earlier than they are offered at the free clinic. Not me...I always wait because free is good (smile). Have a great weekend.
Actually you can see the two calves on the right side of the fence in this photo.

Make a New Friend This Weekend
I absolutely adore peeking into the lives of animals when they don't know anyone is looking. via
Cat Loves Pony
This photo stopped me in my tracks this morning as I was scrolling through my google reader. The title is 'Double Trouble'

Elephants Reunited After 22 Years Apart
This wonderful film was created by world-renowned filmmaker Allison Argo from ArgoFilms. Read more of this story on PBS. I want to know everything there is to know about Shirley and Jenny...free at last to live out their years together. This footage proves that elephants never forget.
Shirley and Jenny, two crippled elephants were reunited at The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee after a 22-year separation. The bonding was immediate, intense and unforgettable between the two former circus elephants. But long after the cameras were turned off, the wondrous moments would continue. Snif, snif.
