A few years ago I discovered this slug the first time in our garden.
My neighbours tell me that they have seen the slug on their property as well.

Limax maximus (literally, "great slug"), also known by common names such as the great grey slug, or the leopard slug, is one of the largest kinds of keeled air-breathing land slug in the world, (Limax cinereoniger being the largest). It is in the family Limacidae, the keeled slugs.
The adult slug measures 10-20 cm (4-8 in) in length and is generally a light greyish or grey-brown with darker spots and blotches, although the coloration and exact patterning of the body of this slug species is quite variable.Although native to Europe, this species has been accidentally introduced to many other parts of the world.

Der Tigerschnegel (Limax maximus), auch Großer Schnegel oder Große Egelschnecke genannt, ist eine 10 bis 20 Zentimeter lange Nacktschnecke aus der Familie der Egelschnecken. Sie ist in Europa weitverbreitet und inzwischen fast weltweit in die gemäßigten Breiten verschleppt worden.
Ich habe die Tigerschnegel vor ein paar Jahren in unserem Garten entdeckt.
Meine Nachbarn haben sie ebenfalls auf ihren Grundstücken gefunden.
Die Collage zeigt die vor einigen Tagen entdeckten Schnecken, die sich unter der Rinde eines Baumes verkrochen hatten.
