Flourish: the details

Happy Monday, friends! What a fun weekend I had!  How 'bout you? Hope it was wonderfully relaxing.  I was lucky enough to be able to spend Saturday evening with some lovely bloggers.  I am now friends with 8 new bloggers in real life. It's an awesome feeling to know they really exist.

We all met at Meadow Boutique here on Queen Anne.  It was the perfect place to hold the party because we all love shopping! {and boy, did we shop.}

I spent the day beforehand with Katie from The Bright Life. She's the sweetest. I feel like we're long lost sisters or something cute like that.

We had some cute little goodie bags to hand out at the end of the night.  Our awesome vendors were:

We had lots of left over cupcakes. Unfortunately I had to take some home. Another one accidentally found it's way into my tummy after the party.

I'm so grateful for our time together. Blogging really is a community of lovely, kind hearted and fabulous people. You inspire me daily.  In order to say thanks there'll be a Giveaway from Meadow coming next week!

Coocoo for Cupcakes

You know as well as I do: cupcakes are all the rage.  To say I love them would be an understatement. Every time I see one my mouth waters.  In fear of sounding like I eat cupcakes for every meal, I will stop there (:

The great thing is that they are perfect for every event! Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries- you name it.
Enjoy some of my favorites I've found over the past few weeks. I may or may not have started an inspiration folder entitled "cupcakes".

Flourish: Blogger Event

It will be a night full of friends, fun, shopping, giveaways and of course, cupcakes and wine {not for me, silly. I'll bring my sparkling lemonade!}








WHO? Anyone who writes a blog and loves pretty things!
WHERE? We're holding the event at Meadow Boutique, you know, the adorable shop I write the blog for. You'll be able to shop the night away for clothes, accessories and home goods (: 



EXTRA INFO:  Bring business cards to drop in the bowl in order to win door prizes and bring extra to give out to your new blogging BFF's (:

Be Mine

I cannot believe Valentine's Day is on Monday!  I'm not a huge decorator for the 14th, but I did do a few small things to spruce up the apartment.
Fresh flowers were a must! So far, I'm keeping up with my new years resolution to always have fresh flowers (:
What's that thing streaming in through the window, you ask? Yep, that'd be sun!

When I was little I collected Beanie Babies...so I have some for every holiday. I proudly display them, even if people think their childish, I heart them (:

I framed this free printable from The Bonjour Family after I saw that Courtney used it from A Thoughtful Place.


Our other Beanie Baby is holding the fort down by our DVD's.  Her name is Kisses. Duh.

I just made this simple little piece of wall art by sticking some craft letters onto scrap booking paper and stamping a heart on the bottom:


And what kitchen counter would be complete without some homemade red velvet cupcakes with heart sprinkles?! 

So there ya have it- our apartment all gussied up!

Flourish: Blogger Meet-Up, Seattle, Washington.

Hi lovelies!  I'm so excited. I'm about to explode. Really. So I guess I better just tell you the news (:  
My blogging buddy and real-life-friend, Maggie, from the blog Maggie Rose, and I are hosting a blogger meet up here in Seattle, Washington, and calling it
Flourish.  
It will be a night full of friends, fun, shopping, giveaways and of course, dessert and wine {not for me, silly. I'll bring my sparkling lemonade!}


WHO? Whether you're in state or out of state and write a design blog, home decor blog, or a mommy blog, or really any blog that loves to write about pretty things, we'd love to see you here!  

WHERE? We're holding the event at Meadow Boutique, you know, the adorable shop I write the blog for.  It's in upper Queen Anne. You'll be able to shop the night away for clothes, accessories and home goods (: 

EXTRA INFO: 1. Be sure to bring a business card to drop in our jar so you have the chance to win door prizes!  Also, bring enough to exchange with new blogging friends you'll meet!
