Winter’s Beauty
The Camellia bushes are brimming with beautiful blossoms right now and will continue on through the winter months.
I thought it fitting, since our beloved tea is derived from the Camellia sinensis, that I would
display a couple varieties of Camelia Sasanqua –
The Christmas Camelia and a variety grown in my neighbor’s yard.
Camellias come in a large variety of shades of pink, red, white and yellow.
They are often considered ‘Japan’s Rose’
or as the Chinese put it, ‘flowering tea’.
The fragrance from these beauties is enchanting.
I set out two settings with these beautiful gold-edged teacups, saucer and plates. They have no markings.
I set out silver pieces and cut glass pieces….
I think I will let the pictures tell the story for me.
